Originally from New York, I got started more than ten years ago in print, designing brands and book designs before progressing to digital, web and app design. Throughout the course of my career I have had the privilege to work with some iconic brands, product companies, agencies and small businesses across the country including: Lumos Labs (makers of Lumosity), Apple, Beats By Dre, Playboy, Taschen, Originate and many others.
I am an ardent proponent for a systems based approach to design. Whether it is a brand identity system, a user interface pattern library or grid systems in print and digital design. I understand the language of web and product development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they inform — and sometimes limit — design. I appreciate the value of a solid, cohesive brand identity and how it builds trust and memorability with the person experiencing the product or service.
My favorite part of the job is collaboration, finding the synergy between members of a team, whether it is small or large. I enjoy working with agile teams of developers and entrepreneurs who are exploring new technologies and user-experiences with a sharp brand image and clear mission.
(And I don't like pineapple on my pizza.)
